Job Summary

The Finishing Manager is responsible for managing and controlling all finishing activities in woven garment production, ensuring quality standards, on-time shipment, cost control, and compliance with buyer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, organize, and supervise all finishing processes including

thread trimming, washing coordination, ironing, folding, tagging, packing, and carton packing

. Ensure finished garments meet

buyer quality standards and specifications

. Coordinate with

Quality Assurance (QA), Production, Washing unit, and Merchandising teams

for smooth workflow. Monitor and control

daily finishing output

, manpower allocation, and productivity. Ensure

on-time completion of finishing activities

as per shipment schedules. Handle

buyer inspections, internal audits, and final inspections

. Reduce

rework, rejection, and alteration rates

through effective quality control. Ensure correct

packing methods, barcodes, polybags, carton markings

, and buyer compliance. Maintain

finishing reports

, packing lists, and shipment-related documentation. Implement

5S, lean practices, and continuous improvement

in the finishing department. Ensure compliance with

factory safety, social compliance, and environmental standards

. Train and develop finishing supervisors and operators. Control finishing costs including

consumables, manpower, and packing materials

.

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of

woven garment finishing processes

. Good understanding of

buyer specifications and quality standards

. Leadership and team-handling skills. Ability to work under

tight deadlines and shipment pressure

. Problem-solving and decision-making skills. Knowledge of

packing standards for export garments

. Basic computer skills (Excel, reports, production tracking).

Qualifications

Diploma / Degree in

Textile / Garment Technology

or equivalent. Minimum

8-15 years of experience

in woven garment finishing, with at least

3-5 years in a managerial role

.

Work Environment

Factory-based role with coordination across multiple departments. Requires flexibility to work extended hours during shipment periods.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
