The Fine Arts Teacher is responsible for teaching visual arts to students in accordance with CBSE guidelines, fostering creativity, artistic skills, aesthetic appreciation, and cultural awareness through structured art education.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and conduct Fine Arts classes as per CBSE curriculum and co-scholastic requirements.
Teach drawing, sketching, painting, shading, composition, and basic design principles.
Introduce students to various art mediums such as pencil, charcoal, watercolor, acrylic, oil pastels, and mixed media.
Encourage creativity, imagination, and individual artistic expression.
Prepare students for art exhibitions, competitions, displays, and school events.
Integrate art education with academic subjects as part of CBSE art integration initiatives.
Maintain discipline and ensure safe handling of art materials and equipment.
Assess students' artwork and maintain records of progress and participation.
Display students' artwork creatively within the school campus.
Participate in school meetings, workshops, and professional development programs.
Support cultural activities, celebrations, and co-curricular programs.
Take up additional responsibilities as assigned by school management.
Qualifications & Experience:
Educational Qualification:
Degree / Diploma in Fine Arts / Visual Arts
Teacher training qualification (B.Ed / D.Ed / TTC) preferred
Experience:
Minimum 1-3 years of teaching experience preferred
Experience in handling school students is an added advantage
Skills & Competencies:
Strong foundation in Fine Arts techniques and visual composition.
Ability to guide students of different age groups.
Knowledge of various art styles, artists, and art history (basic level).
Creativity, patience, and enthusiasm for art education.
Good classroom management and communication skills.
