Department Overview Enterprise Finance drives financial management for the company, maintains, and enhances risk and financial controls. Key functions within Enterprise Finance include finance and accounting Treasury corporate development, mergers, and acquisitions Data Management and Insights, the Customer Remediation Center of Excellence, Enterprise Shared Services, Business Process Management, and Corporate Strategy. Enterprise Finance informs shareholders, regulators, taxing authorities, team members, and leaders of the company\'s financial performance through earnings releases, investor meetings and conferences, and meetings with regulators and credit rating agencies, following appropriate reporting guidelines. The Enterprise Finance function contains the Corporate Controllers division, which includes the Enterprise Controls & Oversight (ECO) group. The Controller\'s Division is responsible for the accuracy of the Company\'s financial statements, establishing corporate accounting policies, preparing SEC and regulatory reports and ensuring the adequacy of internal controls. Team Overview: The Capital Markets Accounting Operations group (CMAO) in the Controllers Division of Corporate Finance is responsible for the settlement, clearing, custody, accounting and regulatory reporting for securities within the available-for-sale and held-to-maturity investment portfolios, as well as the Wells Fargo funding products (debt). CMAO is responsible for the maintenance, control and data integrity of the related accounting systems of record. Job Duties and Responsibilities Primary Preparing/approving EagleWeb and SCD entries. Preparing/approving/reconciling ACH payments. Preparing daily, monthly, and quarterly control reports. Supporting Ad hoc projects. Cross training with group team members to provide backup. Prepare and analyze monthly variance analysis for assigned income and expense accounts. Help manage the workflows associated with preferred debt instruments and payment-in-kind debt instruments. Sharing responsibility for calculating, applying, and reporting monthly amortization on 99-20 taxlots. Researching the cause of issues. Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals. Secondary Plan and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce risk. Answering questions and providing backup requested from internal groups and audit. Required qualifications: 8 years of experience in finance and accounting Bachelors/MBA in Finance, Accounting, or Business Accounting experience, specifically related to Available-For-Sale and Held-to-Maturity Bond and Pool Investments.
