: Financial Research Associate

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Research Associate to join our team and contribute to various financial projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing financial data, generating insights, and supporting decision-making processes across multiple financial initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Reporting

Analyze complex financial datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies Create comprehensive reports and dashboards for stakeholders Develop and maintain financial models and forecasting tools Perform variance analysis and budget vs. actual comparisons Generate ad-hoc analysis requests from management
Financial Project Support

Support multiple financial projects from initiation to completion Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, Operations, and Management Assist in project planning, tracking, and performance measurement Prepare project status reports and presentations Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all financial projects
Technical Responsibilities

Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources Utilize advanced Excel functions, pivot tables, and data visualization tools Work with financial databases and reporting systems Automate routine reporting processes where possible Maintain documentation of analytical processes and methodologies
Quality Assurance

Validate data accuracy and perform quality checks Identify and resolve data discrepancies Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards Support audit processes with required documentation
Required Qualifications

Education

Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) - Mandatory

Specialization in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred
Experience

2-3 years of experience

in data analysis, preferably in financial services or related industry Proven track record of working on financial projects Experience with financial modeling and forecasting
Technical Skills

Advanced Microsoft Excel

(pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, complex formulas) Knowledge of

SQL

for database queries Experience with

data visualization tools

(Tableau, Power BI, or similar) Familiarity with

financial software

(SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, etc.) Basic knowledge of

statistical analysis

and financial metrics

Preferred Qualifications
