About the Role

We are seeking a meticulous and strategic

Financial Modelling Associate

to join our team. This role plays a critical part in evaluating potential credit and equity investment opportunities through detailed financial analysis, budgeting, and performance reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in 3-statement financial modelling, due diligence and analysis of financial statements--with the ability to communicate insights effectively to senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Analysis

Conduct thorough financial analysis and modeling to evaluate investment opportunities, including assessing credit risk, reviewing financial statements, and cash flow projections. Build and maintain sophisticated 3-statement models to support investment decisions, budgeting, and scenario analysis. Evaluate cash flows, debt service coverage, and capital structure implications. Present financial results and performance drivers to deal teams and investment committees.

Due Diligence:

Conduct comprehensive due diligence on potential investments, including reviews of data rooms, financial statements and related deal documentation, industry research, and competitor analysis Participate in third-party expert research calls Participate in the drafting of investment memoranda and supporting analysis

Portfolio Monitoring:

Monitor the performance of existing investments, analyze financial statements and operational metrics, and prepare quarterly update reports for senior management and investors.

Communication:

Prepare investment memos, presentations, and other materials for internal discussions, investment committee meetings, and investor updates.

Collaboration:

Work closely with other members of the investment team, as well as legal, compliance, and operations teams, to ensure smooth execution of investment processes and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. 4-7 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably with exposure to portfolio management, private equity, or credit investing. Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with a proven ability to build and interpret complex financial models. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of effectively presenting analysis and recommendations to team members and stakeholders. Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Experience with financial analysis software and databases is advantageous. Experience with financial software and valuation tools including CapitalIQ andBloomberg Comfort working independently and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
