The Financial Literacy Teacher is responsible for educating students on essential personal finance concepts, including budgeting, saving, investing, credit, debt management, and financial decision-making. The role focuses on empowering learners with practical money management skills that support long-term financial stability and informed economic participation.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and deliver engaging financial literacy lessons aligned with curriculum standards and program goals
Teach core topics such as budgeting, banking, saving, investing, credit, loans, taxes, insurance, and retirement planning
Create lesson plans, activities, and assessments tailored to students' age, background, and learning needs
Use real-world examples, simulations, and case studies to reinforce financial concepts
Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback
Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and performance
Collaborate with school staff, program coordinators, and community partners
Integrate technology and digital tools to enhance financial education
Promote responsible financial behaviours and ethical decision-making
Stay current with financial trends, tools, and educational best practices
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Education, Business, or a related field (Fresher's can apply)
Teaching certification or relevant instructional experience (preferred)
Strong knowledge of personal finance and money management principles
Experience working with diverse student populations
Excellent communication and classroom management skills
Ability to simplify complex financial concepts into practical lessons
