- Financial Analyst (Finance & Operations)

Role Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated Financial Analyst to join our finance team. The candidate should possess a minimum of one year of relevant experience and demonstrate strong attention to detail. In this capacity, the candidate will support budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting activities, thereby contributing to critical business decisions. This role offers significant opportunities for professional development and exposure to a broad spectrum of financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

i. Financial Reporting and Analysis

Creating regular financial reports that include income statements, profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, cash flow statements etc for the client as well as management.

Adherence to the tasks scheduled in the Cadence Report.

Timely delivery of deliverables within cost to the client's satisfaction.

Preparing and maintaining accurate accounting records, ensuring all financial transactions are properly documented and recorded.

ii. Cost Analysis & Expense Management

Identify opportunities to reduce costs within ongoing or future projects.

Assist in forecasting project expenditures to support financial planning.

Analyze variances between planned and actual costs and report findings.

Prepare cost reports and dashboards for management review.

Implement cost control measures and recommend corrective actions where necessary.

iii. Market & Industry Research

Monitoring real estate market trends, including rental rates, property prices, occupancy rates, and economic factors affecting the industry.

Analyzing competitors' rental pricing strategies, market positioning, and performance to recommend pricing adjustments or strategic decisions.

Analyse customer preferences and demand patterns to support strategic planning.

Track regulatory and policy changes impacting property management, leasing, and development.

iv. Report to Stakeholders

Communicating with investors and stakeholders by providing detailed reports on financial performance, key metrics, and updates on property projects.

Presenting financial insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making.

v. Data Management and Automation

Using financial modeling tools, spreadsheets, or software (e.g., Excel, ERP systems) to analyze financial data and track performance.

Streamlining reporting processes through the use of automation tools to reduce manual work and increase accuracy.

Maintain accurate financial and operational records in accordance with company and project policies.

Assist with document preparation and filing, ensuring everything is organized and easily accessible

vi. Compliance and Risk Management

Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, client requirements and industry standards.

Help identify and assess financial and operational risks to be faced by the company or project, suggesting mitigation strategies.

vii. Collaboration and Communication

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring smooth communication between finance, operations, and other departments.

Provide administrative support for finance-related tasks as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Graduate or postgraduate in Commerce, CMA, or ACCA qualified.

1+ years of experience in accounting, or a related role.

Experience in Financial Data Analytics is an added advantage.

Experience in real estate accounting is preferred but not essential.

Should be flexible to work night shifts, as required.

Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word techniques.

Familiarity with financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Tally etc.) is a plus.

Basic understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and reporting.

Attention to detail and the ability to work with large sets of data.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
