Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Oversight
Supervise, mentor, and support General Accountants in day-to-day accounting activities.
Review commission calculations, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reports prepared by the team.
Ensure team members are meeting deadlines and adhering to accounting standards.
Commission Accounting & Analysis
Oversee the
end-to-end commission calculation and confirmation process
for multiple compensation plans across the organization.
Ensure the accuracy of commission payouts and
provide guidance as General Accountants investigate discrepancies.
Partner with Sales Operations, Back-Office, and company leadership to review monthly commissions as well as commission structures, ensuring compliance with accounting processes.
Provide
monthly commission reports and recommendations directly to the co-owners, securing final approval before amounts are uploaded in the relevant platforms or any email communications are released.
Financial Close & Reporting
Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting processes, including review and approval of payments, and any reconciliations based on cancellations, AT&T or internal process changes, or any other factors.
Ensure accurate financial reporting for accounting processes.
Provide
variance analysis and commentary to company leadership in order to assess financial anomalies.
Profitability & ROI Tracking
Quarterly & Annual Profitability Analysis:
Calculate and analyse quarterly and annual profitability for all business segments.
ROI Assessment:
Continuously monitor and evaluate the ROI for various business segments, providing actionable insights into the financial effectiveness of these initiatives.
Financial Reporting:
Integrate profitability and ROI metrics into monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, providing variance analysis to highlight trends and areas for potential improvement.
Collaborate with human resources, back-office, and operations teams to ensure accurate tracking of financial performance across the business.
Process Improvement & Controls
Streamline commission accounting workflows to increase accuracy and efficiency.
Establish and maintain internal controls around commission calculations, shared drive files, and any reconciliations.
Suggest best practices, policies, and documentation to improve accounting reporting consistency.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with
EORs
to ensure commission data is properly integrated into the relevant platforms based on upload timelines.
Resolve complex commission disputes with
sales team agents or managers
and provide escalation support for
sub-agent or call center payment issues.
Support internal and external audits with relevant documentation and reconciliations.
Ownership Communication
Provide
regular financial and commission updates to the co-owners of Fiber Connect, ensuring transparency in reporting.
Act as the
