Job Description

To support the Director with

accurate financial reporting, project-wise accounting, cost monitoring, and compliance

, enabling informed business and project-level decisions.

Key Responsibilities- Project & Cost Accounting

Maintain

project-wise financial records

, including costs, revenues, and margins Track

project budgets vs actuals

and prepare variance analysis for management review Monitor project expenses, accruals, and allocations across multiple projects Support project teams with timely and accurate financial information
Billing, Revenue & Receivables

Prepare and process

project invoices

as per contract terms and milestones Track receivables, retention money, and milestone-based collections Assist in

revenue recognition

in accordance with applicable accounting standards Coordinate with operations and clients for billing documentation and approvals
Financial Accounting & Reporting

Prepare

monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports

for Director review Pass journal entries, provisions, and adjustments Maintain

general ledger accuracy

and account reconciliations Assist in cash flow monitoring and working capital management
Compliance, Audit & Controls

Ensure compliance with

statutory, tax, and internal control requirements

Support

internal and external audits

Maintain organized financial documentation for audit and management review
MIS & Management Support

Prepare

MIS dashboards and summaries

for Director-level decision-making Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities Highlight financial risks, cost overruns, or control gaps proactively
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in

Commerce, Accounting, or Finance

Strong understanding of

financial and project accounting fundamentals

Skills & Competencies

Hands-on experience in

project accounting

Advanced

MS Excel

skills (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliation models) Strong analytical, reconciliation, and reporting skills Ability to communicate financial insights clearly to senior leadership
Preferred Background

Experience in

EPC, engineering, construction, consulting, or project-driven organizations

Exposure to

contract-based billing and revenue recognition

Comfortable handling

multiple projects and deadlines
