Job Title: Finance Manager
Location: Hyderabad, India
Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Manager to oversee and manage the company's financial operations, statutory compliances, and project-level accounting activities. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in accounting, compliance, and financial reporting, with hands-on experience in managing day-to-day finance functions in an IT environment.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Accounting & Bookkeeping
? Record all bank transactions daily and perform monthly bank reconciliations on a project-wise basis.
? Record and reconcile company credit card transactions; verify supporting bills and ensure accuracy with monthly statements.
? Maintain project-wise petty cash, verify expense bills, and ensure vouchers are properly approved and supported.
? Record all purchase bills, verify payments to vendors, and ensure all supporting documentation is maintained.
? Record sales invoices, verify GST rates, customer details, and track accounts receivable regularly.
? Review daily emails for received bills, segregate them project-wise, and ensure accurate accounting and timely payments.
2. Month-End & Statutory Provisions
? Post month-end provisions for ESI, EPF, PT, TDS, GST, salaries, advances, creditors, and expenses.
? Prepare monthly workings for all statutory compliances and ensure timely payment and filing of returns.
? Maintain and update reconciliation reports, filing proofs, challans, and compliance working papers (in Excel).
? Prepare reconciliations and draft replies for statutory notices; attend hearings and maintain a compliance tracker.
3. Receivables & Payables Management
? Prepare and maintain the Receivable Review Sheet; attend meetings to track and discuss receivables.
? Monitor overdue accounts, follow up with internal teams/customers, and ensure timely collections.
? Maintain vendor ledgers and ensure timely payment processing after due verification.
4. NSIC & Project Accounting
? Record and track all NSIC-related entries; maintain updated ledgers and reconcile as required.
? Perform detailed ledger scrutiny project-wise before month-end closing and audit; ensure all transactions are supported and reconciled.
5. Audit & Financial Reporting
? Act as internal audit support for statutory auditors - coordinate data collection, reconciliations, and responses.
? Prepare all reconciliations (Bank, GST, TDS, Debtors, Creditors, Expenses) for audit finalisation.
? Support the preparation of financial statements in compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements.
? Ensure all statutory compliances (GST, TDS, PF, ESI, PT, Income Tax, etc.) are filed within due dates.
6. Reporting & Analysis
? Assist management with monthly MIS reports, financial summaries, and cash flow statements.
? Support in budgeting and forecasting by providing accurate project-level financial data.
? Identify process gaps and implement improvements in internal financial controls.
Qualifications & Experience:
? Education: B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) / CA-Inter preferred.
? Experience: 5-8 years of experience in finance & accounting, preferably in an IT or project-based organization.
? Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in Tally / ERP systems, MS Excel, and accounting software.
o Knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESI, PT, and other Indian statutory compliances.
o Strong understanding of project accounting and financial reconciliations.
