Main purpose of the role:
The Finance Manager is responsible for the overall financial management and planning of the plasticmanufacturing operations. This role will lead the Finance Department and play a critical role inensuring cost efficiency, regulatory compliance, and strategic financial planning aligned with the business objectives of a manufacturing setup.
Responsibilities
Specific Role Responsibilities:
As a Finance Manager,
Financial Management & Reporting
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Finance Department.
Manage cash flow and prepare short-term and long-term cash forecasts.
Review and report on the company's financial statements.
Ensure timely and accurate monthly management accounts and external reporting.
Develop business plans, annual budgets, and financial forecasts.
Advise management on financial issues and provide input for strategic decisions.
Taxation & Profitability
Lead the company's taxation planning and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
Review and monitor product profitability, especially for anti-dumping purposes.
Develop, review, and manage transfer pricing arrangements.
Internal Controls & Compliance
Review, implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance
with internal and external standards.
Review and maintain internal control systems to safeguard company assets.
Ensure proper maintenance of the fixed assets register and insurance coverage (medical and
non-life).
Ensure timely and accurate internal and statutory compliance reporting.
Operations & Strategic Support
Set up and manage operations of IPC (International Procurement Center) company.
Monitor billing, collections, and credit control activities.
Oversee the preparation of management payroll and review/approve non-management
payroll.
Supervise and ensure smooth functioning of IT operations and ERP systems (SAP).
People Management
Provide guidance and support to finance staff in their respective areas of work.
Develop and monitor staff performance metrics and initiate improvement plans.
Resolve departmental issues and ensure team efficiency and development.
Stakeholder Engagement
Liaise with external parties including bankers, auditors, company secretary, tax agents, and
lawyers.
Coordinate with statutory authorities such as Customs, MIDA, Bank Negara, and others on
regulatory matters.
Ensure all company secretarial matters are in order and up to date.

Knowledge/ Skills/ Experience
Master's in Finance, or related field. CPA, ACCA, or equivalent Professional certification is preferred
o Minimum 8-10 years of experience in a finance leadership role
o Strong knowledge of financial regulations, tax laws, and statutory requirements
o Hands-on experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP).
o Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills

Pay: Up to ?332,112.00 per month
