Role Overview

We are seeking a hands-on and process-driven Finance Manager to lead and organize our finance department. The role involves setting up proper financial systems, bringing discipline to accounting and inventory management, driving budgeting and cash flow planning, and mentoring a small team currently handling multiple functions.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys building systems from scratch, and can balance both strategic and operational finance responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Controls

Establish proper accounting systems, policies, and internal controls. Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate book-keeping. Manage statutory compliance -- GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and other regulatory filings. Implement monthly and annual closing processes with proper reconciliations.
Budgeting, Planning & Cost Control

Develop annual budgets and rolling forecasts for the company. Track variances and analyze performance against budgets. Introduce cost monitoring systems across departments -- especially production and materials. Provide financial insights to management for decision-making.
Cash Flow & Working Capital

Prepare weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts. Monitor receivables, payables, and stock to ensure efficient working capital management. Coordinate with banks and financial institutions for loans, limits, and funding requirements.
Inventory & Production Costing

Create and implement an inventory management system with proper checks and balances. Work with production to establish standard costing, job costing, and waste analysis. Ensure periodic stock audits and variance analysis.
Audit & Compliance

Prepare for and coordinate statutory, internal, and tax audits. Ensure audit recommendations are implemented effectively. Maintain robust documentation for all financial transactions.
Team Leadership

Lead and mentor a team of 3 members currently handling accounts and admin. Define clear roles, delegate responsibilities, and monitor performance. Train the team to adopt process-based accounting and financial discipline.
Reporting

Generate monthly MIS reports including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and variance analysis. Present financial performance insights to the Managing Director. Support strategic initiatives and growth decisions with financial projections and analysis.

Qualifications & Experience

Graduate or Postgraduate in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting (CA / CMA preferred but not mandatory). 5-10 years of experience in finance and accounting, preferably in manufacturing or printing industries. Proven ability to set up or strengthen financial systems and controls. Proficient in Tally / Zoho Books / ERP accounting systems. Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
