Manager (Finance)
Position: Assistant General Manager - Finance
Department: Finance & Accounts
Reporting to: General Manager -MD
Location: Mysore
Role Objective
To oversee and manage the financial health of the organization by ensuring effective
financial planning, reporting, compliance, and cost control, while supporting strategic
decision-making and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Planning & Analysis
? Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
? Monitor financial performance and variance analysis against budget.
? Provide management with insights for cost optimization and profitability
improvement.
2. Accounting & Reporting
? Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial
statements.
? Oversee general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, and payroll
accounting.
? Implement internal controls for error-free financial reporting.
3. Compliance & Audit
? Ensure statutory compliance with Income Tax, GST, Companies Act, and other
regulations.
? Liaise with statutory auditors, internal auditors, and regulatory authorities.
? Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial legislation and accounting standards.
4. Treasury & Fund Management
? Manage banking relationships and oversee fund flow management.
? Monitor working capital requirements and arrange funds as needed.
? Optimize utilization of surplus funds and manage debt obligations.
5. Strategic Support
? Assist top management in business planning, mergers & acquisitions, and financial
due diligence.
? Support in pricing strategies, cost-benefit analysis, and investment proposals.
? Contribute to ERP/automation initiatives in finance for process efficiency.
6. Team Management
? Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team for high performance.
? Ensure proper delegation, training, and succession planning.
? Build a culture of accuracy, compliance, and accountability.
Key Skills & Competencies
? Strong knowledge of accounting standards (Ind AS/IFRS), taxation, and compliance.
? Analytical and problem-solving skills with business acumen.
? Excellent leadership and team management skills.
? Proficiency in ERP systems (Tally).
? Strong communication and presentation skills.
Qualifications & Experience
? Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) / Cost Accountant (CMA) / MBA (Finance).
? Experience: 10-15 years of progressive experience in Finance & Accounts, with at
least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
? Industry Preference: Automotive, Manufacturing, Retail, IT, etc.,
? Gender: Male
