ROLE OVERVIEW
The Finance Manager will oversee the financial operations of the organization, strengthen systems to ensure accurate record-keeping, compliance with statutory and donor requirements, and effective financial planning. The role also includes preparing financial reports, managing budgets, and supporting strategic decision-making to strengthen the organization's financial health.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
? Manage day-to-day accounting and finance operations.
? Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
? Ensure compliance with statutory regulations (PF, ESIC, GST, TDS) and donor/grant requirements.
? Monitor cash flow, manage bank accounts, and oversee accounts payable and receivable.
? Maintain proper documentation for all financial transactions and audits.
? Assist in internal and external audits, ensuring timely submission of reports.
? Support financial reporting for donors, grants, and stakeholders.
? Implement and maintain financial controls, policies, and procedures.
? Lead, mentor, and manage finance and accounts staff.
? Provide financial insights and recommendations to SANMAT management to support organizational planning and program management.
REQUIRED EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILL SET
? Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CA/CMA preferred.
? Minimum 3 years of experience in finance and accounting, preferably with exposure to non-profit organizations.
? Strong understanding of accounting principles, statutory compliance, and donor fund management.
? Proficiency in accounting software (Tally preferred) and MS Office.
? Excellent analytical, numerical, and reporting skills.
? Strong leadership, communication, and team management abilities.
? Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines (especially under pressure).
