Finance Manager – Hospital

Job Description

The Finance Manager will oversee the financial health of the hospital by managing accounting operations, financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, audits, and compliance with healthcare regulations. The role ensures optimal resource allocation, financial integrity, and cost-effective service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Budgeting



- Prepare and manage annual hospital budgets and financial forecasts.

- Analyze monthly operating results and recommend corrective actions.

- Coordinate with department heads for financial inputs and cost controls.

Accounting & Financial Reporting



- Ensure Day to day Accounting

- Oversee general ledger, AP/AR, billing, and cash flow management.

- Ensure timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

- Maintain compliance with Indian Accounting Standards and statutory regulations.

Cost Control & Revenue Management



- Monitor costs of medical procedures, pharmacy, diagnostics, and consumables.

- Identify and implement cost-reduction initiatives without compromising quality.

- Track revenue cycles, insurance claims, patient billing, and payment collections.

Compliance & Internal Controls



- Ensure adherence to applicable laws (GST, Income Tax, TDS, Companies Act, etc.).

- Coordinate with internal and external auditors; resolve audit findings.

- Implement internal controls to prevent financial discrepancies and fraud.

Strategic Support



- Provide financial insights and reports to aid decision-making by the senior management.

- Evaluate new service lines, capex proposals, and vendor contracts.

- Support hospital accreditation and quality audits (e.g., NABH, JCI) from a financial perspective.

Key Requirements:



- Qualification: CA Inter.

- Experience: 3-5 years' Experience in hospital finance or healthcare sector preferred

Skills:

Understanding of hospital operations and healthcare costing - Leadership, analytical and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:



- Experience with cloud-based HMS and accounting software

- Familiarity with insurance claim processing and third-party administrators (TPAs)

- Exposure to pharmacy, diagnostics, and procedure costing
