Job Description

Reporting directly to India Controller Financial Reporting and Analysis
o Responsible for preparing financial Statement in accordance with US GAAP, and local IGAAP, Statutory Audit & Tax Audit


o Lead month-end, quarter end and year-end financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. This is further strengthened by ensuring all balance sheet accounts are properly reconciled on time.


o Ensuring that the general ledger is correctly managed, costs of the business are effectively controlled and financial reporting at month-end is efficiently performed.


o The position is responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Internal control system, completeness of the general ledger,


o Prepare & submit various monthly report - Balance Sheet analysis / Working Capital analysis / GL reconciliation & others as per regional timeline.


Budget & Forecasting
o Coordinating, and preparing the company's Annual Operating Plan and rolling forecast.


o Variance analysis


o Coordinating with FP&A team / Regional Team and publish the various reports as per timeline.


o Capex Report


Compliance and Risk Management
o Internal control structure is in place, functioning effectively, and appropriately evaluated in accordance with SOX.


o Ensure that identified control and internal audit gaps are remediated on a timely basis.


o Manage tax filings and reporting, working with tax advisors as needed.


o Compliance with SEZ rules and regulation


Direct & Indirect Tax compliance
o Ensure all tax Direct Tax compliance related to TDS & I. Tax matter.


o GST monthly & yearly compliance, submission of returns on time


o Submitting document to the government office as per requirement


Fund Management
o Prepare cash flow forecast, overserving cash management, working capital, to meet obligation and optimize investment.


Other Activities
o The role will actively collaborate with the Controller in setting strategic plan for the business entity being supported; identify areas of potential process improvement; develop and enforce appropriate policies, procedures, and internal controls.


o Business partner to Americas and Corporate Finance. Advise business operational functions on implementation of new processes and their impact on financials


o Drive and design GTCI KPI's


o Responsible for payroll activities of GTCI


o The role is expected to consult and coordinate a broad range of stakeholders, including internal GTCI management, India Tax Team, FP&A, legal, global/regional IT, internal and external auditors.


o Assist in automating financial processes, reconciliation, and reporting for improved control

Roles & Responsibilities:



Perform financial reporting processes which includes but not limited to monthly, quarterly & annual financial statement close procedures, review account reconciliations (for assigned accounts), functional analysis (including but not limited to P&L, balance sheet & various accounts). Maintain the fixed asset register and track additions, disposals, and depreciation. Assist in budgeting and forecasting, providing input on financial projections and cost management. Ensure that a robust internal control structure is in place, functioning effectively and appropriately evaluated in accordance with SOX. Business partner with cross function throughout Goodyear to implement effective financial analysis tools & procedures. Demonstrates and applies basic understanding of the data flows and data standards in your specific business area. Identifies basic trends, issues or other meaningful insights using basic analytical approaches. Maintain excellent relationships with internal and external customers to ensure mutual goals are achieved and up-to-date knowledge of best practices are shared within the team. Preparation and filling of all legal and statutory reports, annual financial statements. Ensure compliance with all tax requirements (Preparation and filling of all tax returns, communication with tax authorities). Proactively aim at optimizing the tax liability of the company and ensuring compliance at the lowest cost. Monitor compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements for the organization. Maintain accounting controls by preparing / recommending policies and procedures. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; (70/20/10). Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to finance processes and systems as well as assist with any special projects/assignments as applicable. Support regional project as needed.

Experience, Knowledge & Skills required:



Proven experience of 7-10 years in accounting roles, with a strong understanding of local India regulations, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and Special Economic Zone (SEZ) requirements. Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and financial reporting software. Strong understanding of US GAAP Demonstrates strong analytical abilities & a thorough understanding of GAAP as well as IFRS. Leadership and team management skills, with experience managing a team of finance professionals in a shared service environment. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, and Word. SAP experience a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex financial data and provide actionable insights. Ability to communicate to present information, both verbally & written effectively with all levels of the organization.
