Reports to: CFO/CEO
Position Overview
As the Finance Lead, you will be the second-in-command to the CFO, overseeing the financial health and operational efficiency of the business. You will play a critical role in financial controls, cost management, reporting, procurement logistics, compliance, internal audits, corporate governance, and vendor management across our brewpub chain, sales operations, and business expansion. Additionally, you will lead and mentor a finance team, ensuring robust financial discipline while supporting business growth.
What you will own and be responsible for:
? Financial Controls & Cost Management
? Implement strong financial controls across all business units to ensure trackability and accountability.
? Oversee costing strategies and conduct analyses for all major revenue drivers and build systems to identify inefficiencies.
? Manage procurement, procurement logistics and inventory costing, ensuring near real-time tracking of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
? Financial Planning, Budgeting & Reporting
? Drive the annual budgeting process, setting financial goals and tracking performance.
? Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports with variance analysis and business insights.
? Track P&L for each business unit (outlets, brewery, sales, events) and identify cost saving opportunities.
? Support the CFO in financial forecasting, cash flow planning, and working capital management.
? Provide financial performance dashboards for senior management.
? Internal Audits & Risk Management
? Develop and execute a robust internal audit framework across all functions.
? Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
? Ensure fraud prevention measures are in place, including audits of POS systems, procurement, and vendor payments.
? Procurement & Logistics Management
? Oversee procurement finance, ensuring vendor contracts align with cost efficiency goals.
? Manage logistics financing, ensuring smooth supply chain operations for raw materials and finished goods.
? Track accounts payable & receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
? Secretarial, Compliance & Corporate Governance
? Ensure timely statutory filings for taxation, excise, and FSSAI compliance.
? Maintain adherence to local and national tax laws, excise regulations, and company secretarial obligations.
? Liaise with external auditors, regulatory authorities, and consultants.
? Stay updated on GST, Income Tax, and Excise laws affecting the food, alcohol, and FMCG industries.
? Vendor & Stakeholder Management
? Develop strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and financial institutions, in order to better negotiate pricing, payment terms, and credit facilities with suppliers.
? Work closely with sales and operations teams to ensure financial alignment with business strategies.
? Team Leadership & People Management
? Lead and mentor the finance and accounts team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
? Set KPIs for finance personnel, ensuring high performance.
? Provide training and development to strengthen financial acumen across departments.

Qualifications & Experience
? 8+ years of full time work experience; Chartered Accountant (CA) / MBA is preferred.
? Prior experience in restaurant chains, beverage companies, or alcohol production units is a plus, but not mandatory.
? Hands on experience in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
? In-depth understanding of taxation, excise duties, GST, and corporate governance.
? Experience with ERP systems, accounting software (Tally, SAP, Zoho, etc.).
? Strong analytical skills and ability to translate numbers into business insights.
? Leadership experience in managing teams and cross-functional coordination.
? Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
? Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
