Position Overview

We are looking for a highly analytical and motivated

Startup Financial Plan Intern

to join our team. The intern will play a key role in supporting the financial strategy of the startup by preparing financial reports, creating business projections, and identifying funding opportunities. This position offers hands-on exposure to startup finance, investment planning, and fundraising strategies, making it ideal for individuals aspiring to build a career in financial management, venture capital, or entrepreneurship.

Key Responsibilities1. Financial Reporting & Projections

Assist in

creating detailed financial reports

, statements, and budgets. Prepare

financial projections

for startup business plans, including revenue forecasting, cost estimation, and profitability analysis. Monitor cash flow and support in identifying financial risks and opportunities.

2. Investment & Funding Strategy

Research and

identify investment opportunities

for startup growth. Support in drafting

investment plans and financial models

to present to stakeholders. Develop a

fundraising strategy

that includes both government grants and private investment options.

3. Investor Outreach & Fundraising

Identify and compile a list of

potential investors, VCs, and funding agencies

. Assist in creating

pitch decks, financial presentations, and investor documents

. Support in designing an

approach method

for engaging with investors and funding bodies. Explore

government schemes, grants, and startup incubation programs

for financial support.

4. Research & Optimization

Conduct financial research on

market trends, competitors, and investment patterns

. Suggest improvements and optimization of the startup's

funding and financial planning process

. Provide insights to management for making informed business and financial decisions.

Key Skills Required

Financial Analysis & Reporting

- Strong skills in preparing reports, projections, and business plans.

Investment Planning

- Basic understanding of investment models and funding strategies.

Research & Analytical Skills

- Ability to explore and evaluate grants, investors, and funding sources.

Pitching & Documentation

- Skills in preparing pitch decks and structured financial documents.

Strategic Thinking

- Ability to connect financial plans with long-term business growth.

Tools Knowledge

- Familiarity with MS Excel, Google Sheets, financial modeling tools, and presentation tools (PowerPoint/Canva).

Qualifications

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, or a related field. Knowledge of

startup ecosystem, investment trends, and government grant schemes

is an added advantage. Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
