The role involves reconciling insurance payments, identifying discrepancies, and supporting accurate financial reporting while ensuring compliance with internal processes and payer guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Perform reconciliation of insurance payments against claims submitted.
Identify, analyze, and report payment discrepancies such as underpayments, overpayments, denials, and partial payments.
Track claims status and follow up on pending or unpaid insurance claims.
Prepare and maintain accurate reconciliation and variance reports.
Support accounts receivable activities related to insurance collections.
Maintain proper documentation and ensure data accuracy in financial records.
Coordinate with internal teams to resolve reconciliation issues in a timely manner.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce (
B.Com / M.Com
) is mandatory.
Basic to strong knowledge of
insurance reconciliation and accounting principles
is required.
Proficiency in
Microsoft Excel
(formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
Good communication and coordination abilities.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Experience
Fresh graduates or candidates with
0-1 year of relevant experience
in insurance reconciliation, accounts receivable, or healthcare finance.
