Job Summary:

We're looking for a highly experienced and dynamic Head of Finance to lead our financial operations at Saman Tea Private Limited. The ideal candidate will be a strategic financial leader with a proven track record in managing all aspects of finance, particularly within an export-oriented environment. This role demands exceptional expertise in banking relationships, trade finance, financial reporting, cash flow management, budgeting, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:



Banking & Treasury Management:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with national and international banks.
Expertly manage and negotiate banking limits, including securing and optimizing packing credit limits for export.
Possess a deep understanding and hands-on experience in dealing with various banking products and services relevant to trade finance.
Proactively negotiate competitive interest rates and terms with banks for various credit facilities.
Manage cash flow, liquidity, and foreign exchange exposure effectively.
Trade Finance & Export Operations:
Proficiently handle all aspects of export finance, from pre-shipment to post-shipment.
Expertise in negotiating export bills to ensure timely and efficient realization of export proceeds.
Thorough knowledge of Letters of Credit (LCs), including their issuance, amendment, and negotiation.
Ensure compliance with all Export Bill Realization Certificate (EBRC) regulations and procedures
Financial Planning & Analysis:
Prepare comprehensive project reports and CMA data for various financial needs, including bank financing and internal decision-making.
Conduct detailed financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
Develop and implement robust cash flow planning strategies to ensure optimal liquidity and financial stability.
Monitor financial performance against plans and provide insightful reports to management.
Financial Reporting & Compliance:
Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards
Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory financial requirements.
Implement and maintain robust internal financial controls.
Team Leadership & Development:
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.
Foster a collaborative and results-oriented teamwork environment.
Delegate effectively and ensure efficient workload management within the finance department.

Qualifications & Experience:



Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in finance roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position, preferably in an export-oriented manufacturing or trading company.
Demonstrated expertise in managing banking relationships and negotiating credit facilities, especially export-related limits.
In-depth knowledge of trade finance instruments and processes (Packing Credit, LC, Export Bill Negotiation, EBRC).
Proven ability to prepare detailed project reports, CMA data, and perform effective cash flow planning and budgeting.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
Proficient in English, both written and spoken, is mandatory.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
