A Finance Head is responsible for managing, optimizing, and overseeing the execution of business processes within an organization to ensure efficiency, consistency, and compliance. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to monitor workflows, identify areas for improvement, and implement process enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
:
Leads budgeting, financial planning, and forecasting, ensuring alignment with the company's R&D and product launch timelines.
Manages capital allocation, including investment decisions on product development, prototyping, testing, and market introduction.
Oversees financial reporting, compliance, and audits, ensuring accuracy and adherence to relevant laws, especially those related to manufacturing, R&D incentives, and patents.
Collaborates closely with R&D and operations teams to evaluate project returns, costing, and resource optimization, balancing innovation with profitability.
Develops funding strategies to support highcost R&D efforts, including grant application management, investor relations, and loan negotiations.
Advises on partnerships relevant to core technology, intellectual property, and market growth.
Shapes pricing and market entry decisions for new appliances by providing data-driven financial models incorporating R&D investments and anticipated yields.
Designs processes to manage risks linked with engineering uncertainties, regulatory shifts, supply chain volatility, and intellectual property.
Ensures robust internal controls for R&D expenditures, capital assets, supply procurement, and inventory.
Partners with other executives--CEO, CTO, COO to harmonize financial objectives with R&D and manufacturing operations.
Presents financial analysis, project valuations, and ROI outlooks to board members, investors, and other stakeholders, supporting data-driven executive decisions.
Manages government incentives, tax credits, and patent portfolios specific to innovation-driven manufacturing.
Tracks cost structures and project progress for multiple iterative R&D projects, adapting capital allocation dynamically.
Requirements
:
CA Inter (both groups preferred)
3-4 years in accounting, finance, or audit roles
Strong knowledge of IND AS, GST, TDS, Income Tax - Proficient in MS Excel and ERP systems (SAP/Tally) - Financial reporting, tax compliance, audit support
Detail-oriented, proactive, good communicator - Able to work independently and in teams
Working Conditions:
Full-time position with standard working hours i.e. 9 AM - 6 PM, Monday to Saturday.
