Key Responsibilities:Financial Planning and Analysis:
Develop high-impact financial reports for top management summarizing key metrics - income, expenses, inventory, budgeting, and forecasting.
Track financial status and performance to identify areas for cost optimization and revenue enhancement.
Prepare and analyze financial statements including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Annual Reports.
Develop and manage budgets, perform cost analysis and ensure sound financial planning.
Provide valuable financial insights to aid strategic decision-making (short- and long-term).
Compliance & Legal:
Ensure strict compliance with applicable statutory regulations and accounting standards (ICAI or other statutory bodies).
Prepare and file monthly and yearly statutory returns; manage audits, assessments, and appeals.
Accurately determine statutory liabilities and ensure timely payments.
Coordinate with legal teams for collection issues, drafting responses to notices, and legal escalations.
Oversee legal matters, support governance policies, and liaise with government authorities when required.
Accounting & Internal Controls:
Regularly scrutinize books of accounts to ensure accuracy and adherence to accounting principles.
Work closely with internal teams for timely submission of financial data and records.
Update internal systems in line with changes in finance and accounting laws.
Prepare specialized reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing trends and account information.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce/Finance/Accounting; CA/MBA preferred.
Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in Finance & Accounts, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Strong understanding of accounting laws, tax regulations, and compliance frameworks.
Experience in legal coordination, statutory filing, and audits.
Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
Ability to work cross-functionally with legal, operational, and senior management teams.
