Position Overview
We are seeking a
Chartered Accountant with 5-10 years of post-qualification experience
to head the finance function. The Finance Head will oversee statutory compliance, branch-level financial performance, fund management, and strategic decision support. This role offers the opportunity to grow into a
CFO role
as KRA scales.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Planning & Compliance
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements: TDS, GST (GSTR 1, 2B, 3), ESIC, PF, PT, etc.
Manage tax filings, advance tax payments, and coordinate with auditors & consultants.
Stay updated with tax laws, ensuring zero non-compliance.
2. Cash Flow & Banking Management
Manage working capital, CC limits, LAP facilities, and treasury operations.
Submit monthly gold stock statements, monitor cash handling and bank charges.
Maintain strong banking relationships and evaluate finance options (loans, credit facilities, treasury instruments).
3. Budgeting, Forecasting & ROI
Prepare annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and variance analysis.
Calculate ROI for new branches, marketing spends, and business expansion projects.
Provide scenario-based financial analysis for gold price fluctuations and margins.
4. Branch & Business Performance
Develop branch-wise P&L dashboards and MIS reports.
Review branch profitability, margins, and performance metrics monthly.
Partner with operations to identify underperforming outlets and implement corrective measures.
5. Expense, Audit & Documentation
Oversee monthly payments (rent, utilities, insurance premiums, etc.).
Implement cost control measures and monitor efficiency.
Lead statutory, internal, and bank audits; ensure proper documentation and accuracy.
6. Insurance & Risk Management
Manage insurance policies, renewals, and payments.
Support financial risk management, including gold price risk and operational exposures.
7. Technology & Reporting
Drive accurate, real-time financial reporting through ERP (Tally ERP/Synergics) and BI tools (Excel/Power BI).
Build dashboards to track branch and corporate performance.
8. Leadership & Team Management
Lead and mentor the accounts and finance team across corporate and showrooms.
Foster a culture of financial discipline, transparency, and governance.
Qualifications & Experience
Chartered Accountant (CA)
- Mandatory.
5-10 years of post-qualification experience in finance; retail / FMCG / jewellery background preferred.
Strong knowledge of taxation, compliance, and financial management.
Exposure to fund management, branch-level financial planning, and banking negotiations.
Proficiency in MS Excel/Power BI.
