Internal candidates will have successfully completed the SDP coursePossesses an Accounting degree or a B.Com degreePossesses high levels of professional integrity and confidentiality and an interest in being exposed in various areas of FinanceMajor ResponsibilitiesGeneralIs directly responsible for the day to day key processes in his/her area of workWhere applicable, acts as shift leader; leads and motivates colleagues by exampleAssumes training responsibilities when required; demonstrates a high degree of standards awarenessActively offers operational, employee and customer related feedback to managementDisplays warmth, care and genuine enthusiasm when dealing with guests and internal customers; lives the Golden RuleDepartmentalAccounts Payable related:Takes full charge of the Accounts Payable functionProcesses hotel's payrollHandles General Ledger accountingAccounts Receivable & Audit related:Takes full charge of the Accounts Receivable function, including credit card operationsHandles day audit processes and reconciliationsProcurement & Stores related:Takes charge of daily purchasing processes including ordering and procurementSupports vendor negotiationsHandles daily receiving and storeroom processesSpecific Responsibilities and TasksGeneralActs as role model for the hotel's code of conduct and grooming & hygiene standardsIs seen as working hands-on, assists colleagues in crunch times; Walks the talkActively participates in briefings and meetings; facilitates communication between employees and managementMaintains a clean and orderly work area and promotes a safe working environmentPerforms any additional duties as assignedDepartmentalAccounts Payable related:Ensures compliance of Accounts Payable process, including timely vendor payments, vendor ageing and management, vendor and bank reconciliationsActively participates in the month end processAccounts Receivable & Audit related:Ensures compliance of Accounts Receivable process, including debtors' ageing and collectionEnsures full control of Day Audit system with zero tolerance for revenue leakageAssists in bank reconciliation and coordination with banksActively participates in the month end processProcurement & Stores related:Coordinates with operational departments and ensures hotel purchases meet best quality-price ratioDiligently follows the hotel's purchasing process from PO raising and approval, vendor management to timely deliveryEnsures proper receiving system, quality control and documentationMaintains stores in excellent physical order and ensures accurate documentationActively participates in the month end processReports toAssistant Director of Finance (to Procurement Manager, while in Procurement department)Appropriate Manual/Policy & ProcedureFinance Departmental Policies and ProceduresBlank copy of Annual Development Review (ADR) for reference1 - Four Seasons Service Culture StandardsFour Seasons Core Standards9 - Front & Lobby Areas14 - Problem Resolution49 - Heart of the house / Employee dining56 - Heart of the house / Staff locker rooms51 - Heart of the house / Finance department54 - Heart of the house / Purchasing / ReceivingCompliance PoliciesConfidential, Privacy and Proprietary Data StatementOur Policy Against HarassmentElectronic Systems Policy
