Position Summary:
The Finance Controller will be responsible for the overall financial management and control of NIARC, ensuring transparency, accountability, and sustainability across all its functional wings -- School, Therapy Services, Palliative Care, and Care Home projects. This role involves strategic financial planning, operational budgeting, statutory compliance, and oversight of accounting and reporting functions, with a key focus on strengthening internal controls and enabling efficient fund management.
Oversee and supervise the accounting department (team of 3 accountants) to ensure accurate and timely financial transactions.
Prepare and present monthly financial reports to the committee members, including:
Income Statement
Cash Flow Statement
Financial Forecasts
Manage and monitor cash flow across multiple projects and ensure optimal fund allocation.
Ensure timely preparation and submission of project-wise utilization reports and donor fund statements.
Budgeting & Cost Control
Prepare, manage, and take full responsibility for the organization's
operational budget
.
Develop and control the
capital expenditure (CAPEX) budgets
for ongoing construction and infrastructure projects at multiple locations.
Formulate and implement
internal controls
related to finance, budgeting, and cash management systems.
Strategic Planning & Fundraising
Collaborate with leadership to design and implement
fund-raising strategies
, including CSR initiatives and outreach programs.
Contribute to long-term financial planning and sustainability strategies.
Compliance & Liaison
Liaise with
bankers
for operational and project funding requirements.
Coordinate with
statutory auditors
for annual audits, ensuring full compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Ensure accuracy and transparency in
donation and sponsorship reporting
.
Performance & System Implementation
Support management in developing
performance management systems
and
compensation structures
aligned with the organizational budget (approx. 100 employees).
Collaborate in the
implementation of ERP systems
to enhance financial and operational efficiency (migration from Tally to a customized ERP solution).
Qualifications & Experience:
Essential:
CA / CMA (Inter) Qualified - Both Groups
, with at least
1 year of post-articleship/internship experience
OR
M.Com / Postgraduate in Finance
, with
7+ years of relevant experience
in financial management, budgeting, and accounting leadership
Preferred:
Experience in the
non-profit / educational / healthcare sector
Strong knowledge of
financial regulations, internal controls, and reporting standards
Proficiency in
Tally ERP
and familiarity with
ERP implementation
processes
