Role Overview
The Finance Controller will play a pivotal role in strengthening the financial backbone of Repose by driving financial planning, reporting, compliance, and cost control across the organization. As the custodian of financial governance, the role will ensure robust internal controls, statutory compliance, and efficient fund management while partnering with leadership to drive profitability, scale operations, and support Company's long-term growth strategy in the manufacturing and consumer goods sector.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Reporting
Lead preparation of annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and MIS reports.
Deliver timely and accurate financial statements in line with IND-AS standards.
Provide strategic insights on profitability, pricing, and product margins.
Controllership & Compliance
Ensure adherence to all statutory and regulatory requirements including GST, Income Tax, Companies Act, and labor laws.
Coordinate statutory, tax, and internal audits, ensuring zero non-compliance.
Implement and strengthen internal controls across accounting, procurement, and sales.
Manufacturing & Cost Control
Monitor plant-level financial performance including inventory valuation, material variance, and production costs.
Partner with operations to optimize supply chain costs, raw material sourcing, and vendor payments.
Conduct cost-benefit and ROI analysis for new capacity expansions and CAPEX projects.
Treasury & Working Capital Management
Oversee banking relationships, fund flow, and credit facilities.
Monitor working capital cycles including receivables, payables, and inventory.
Drive initiatives for cash flow optimization and liquidity management.
Business Partnering
Work closely with sales and channel teams to evaluate trade margins, schemes, and dealer incentives.
Provide financial insights to guide decisions on market expansion, pricing, and promotions.
Support leadership in evaluating new business opportunities and partnerships.
Team Leadership & Systems
Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounts team.
Implement ERP and financial automation for efficiency and transparency.
Foster a culture of accountability, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Candidate Profile
Education & Experience
Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) mandatory; CPA/CMA an added advantage.
10-15 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a Controller or senior finance leadership role.
Experience in manufacturing / consumer durables / FMCG / retail distribution preferred.
Strong knowledge of IND-AS, GST, Income Tax, Companies Act, and costing principles.
Skills & Competencies
Deep understanding of cost accounting, inventory control, and plant finance.
Strategic mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/Tally) and financial automation tools.
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
High integrity and ability to work in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
