Job Description

Our client is in pharmaceutical manufacturing with over 20 years of excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management & Reporting
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including AP, AR, GL, inventory accounting, and bank reconciliation.
Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Monitor working capital, cash flow, and fund utilization; manage treasury operations effectively.
Budgeting & Cost Control
Lead annual budgeting and forecasting process; track variances and provide analysis to management.
Monitor manufacturing and product costs; implement cost reduction initiatives in coordination with production and supply chain teams.
Conduct profitability analysis by product, division, and region.
Statutory Compliance & Audit
Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements -- Companies Act, Income Tax, FEMA, etc.
Liaise with statutory, internal, and tax auditors to ensure timely completion of audits.
Coordinate with consultants for transfer pricing, direct/indirect tax matters, and other regulatory filings.
Internal Controls & Systems
Develop and implement robust internal control systems and SOPs across finance, inventory, and procurement.
Automate and streamline accounting processes (SAP).
Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all financial reporting.
Strategic & Business Support
Provide financial insights and recommendations to management for strategic decision-making.
Support new business initiatives, product launches, or capex investments with financial feasibility studies.
Partner with operations and commercial teams to align financial goals with business strategy.
Team Management
Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounts team.
Ensure effective delegation, review mechanisms, and performance management within the team.
Education: Chartered Accountant
Experience:
Minimum 5-8 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical / manufacturing sector.
Proven expertise in financial reporting, audits, costing, taxation, and compliance.
Hands-on experience with SAP and advanced Excel skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
