Finance Business Partner (FBP) - Business Memberships, Acquisitions & Equity Investments

Role Summary

The Finance Business Partner will drive

portfolio growth

by sourcing and converting

business memberships

, identifying and executing

company acquisitions

, and negotiating

equity/holdings purchases

at profitable valuations. This role blends

finance + deal-making + growth strategy

, ensuring every investment or acquisition decision is backed by strong commercial analysis, risk control, and value creation planning.

M&A / equity investing / corporate finance / portfolio acquisition / strategic finance partnership

(must be demonstrable through transactions, mandates, or portfolio outcomes).

Key ResponsibilitiesA) Growth: Business Memberships & Strategic Partnerships

Build and manage a pipeline of

business members / clients / strategic partners

aligned with portfolio and investment objectives. Convert membership opportunities through

commercial structuring

, pricing logic, value proposition building, and ROI narratives. Create membership financial models:

unit economics, LTV, CAC, retention, upsell

, and portfolio synergies.
B) M&A, Equity Purchase & Holdings Expansion

Identify acquisition targets and equity opportunities (SME, growth companies, strategic assets). Lead

valuation, negotiations, term structuring

, and profitability-driven deal pricing. Execute end-to-end

deal lifecycle

: screening ? diligence ? IC memo ? term sheet ? closing support. Structure acquisitions/investments with optimal mix:

equity, preference, earn-outs, deferred consideration, revenue-share, ESOP adjustments

, etc.
C) Financial Analysis, Valuation & Decision Support

Build robust financial models:

DCF, comps, precedent transactions, LBO-lite

, scenario planning, and sensitivity analysis. Perform

profitability and cost-benefit analysis

to ensure "profitable cost" entry valuations. Create

investment memos

, board-ready summaries, and decision dashboards.
D) Due Diligence, Risk & Governance

Coordinate financial due diligence and support legal/compliance checks:

statutory, tax, contingent liabilities, litigation exposure, working capital risks

. Maintain governance: approvals, documentation checklists, audit-ready deal trails. Monitor post-deal performance and enforce

financial discipline

across portfolio companies.
E) Portfolio Performance & Value Creation

Track portfolio KPIs:

EBITDA, cash conversion cycle, margins, growth KPIs, compliance health

. Design

100-day plan

and value creation roadmap post acquisition/investment. Support integration planning: finance operations, reporting systems, controls, and performance cadence.
Preferred Backgrounds

Investment banking / boutique M&A advisory Private equity / venture capital / family office Corporate development / strategic finance in a high-growth group CFO office / FP&A + M&A combined roles
Competitive fixed + performance-linked incentives (deal success bonus / portfolio performance bonus). ESOP/equity-linked incentives may be considered for exceptional candidates.
