Primary Purpose of the Position



Partner with plant Director and key plant leadership team to

develop and execute cost optimization initiatives

and deliver

scorecard KPI targets

and ensure strong recovery plans in place. Drive whole plant robust

AOP & forecast process

, identify cost driver, prepare cost budget, lead cost initiative and make sure deliver saving target. Provide

financial support

to leaders in investment projects and financial simulations for effective decision making

Primary Duties/Responsibilities



Partnering with plant Director and key plant leadership team to provide financial insights, cost saving opportunities and variance vs targets. Drive financial performance in line with the AOP and rolling forecasts Month close activities including review of financial performance and reporting in Hyperion within timelines. Collaborate with the peer functions including controlling, operations to revalidate the data and ensure accuracy of figures. Provide data inputs and business commentary to the regional and corporate team. Schedule reviews with the plant leadership team to provide and discuss the monthly performance results and detailed variance analysis vs target. Review standard cost including preparation of variance analysis, BOM accuracy, routing and cost reduction opportunities Work on annual operating plans (AOP) collating and validating data inputs. Ensure all deliverables within timelines Work with regional finance team to provide transparent and credible view of the financial affairs of the plants supported by data driven insights and facts. Collaborate and work at all levels to understand the issues impacting financial performance. Recommend solutions. Develop a strong understanding of the business and financial processes and systems and ensure strict adherence to Goodyear policies and guidelines.

Experience Required



Cross-functional work experience

-work with multiple business and operations (MFG, SC, Proc) functions to manage various budget and understand different business and operation model.

Financial analysis experience-

understand business impact of new operation model/ capital investment

Functional experiences within Finance-

solid understanding of costing and plant accounting, business FP&A

Business Acumen:

Understand Goodyear's operation excellence strategy and position in the marketplace, develop and execute cost optimization initiative to deliver strategy

Execution champion:

Take ownership to partner with multiple functions to provide cost effective solutions, solve the problem and deliver cost initiative

Alignment builder

: Works collaboratively across functions to build alignment on cost optimization goals, plans and activities to deliver result
