Position Overview
Seeking a qualified finance professional to manage accounting, compliance, and donor reporting for an NGO supporting neurodiverse students. Candidates should have strong financial management skills, NGO experience, and a commitment to inclusive education and empowerment.Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate and up-to-date books of accounts as per company requirement
Record and reconcile all receipts, payments, journal entries, and bank transactions.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
Monitor project budgets, fund utilization, and ensure expenditures align with approved budgets.
Ensure timely filing of statutory returns including TDS, GST, PF, ESI, and Income Tax.
Prepare documentation for statutory and donor audits and coordinate with external auditors.
Maintain proper records and compliance under FCRA and other NGO regulations.
Support management in strengthening internal financial controls and procedures.
Manage donor-specific accounts and prepare utilization certificates, fund statements, and financial reports.
Track grant disbursements, ensure donor fund compliance, and support budgeting for new proposals.
Liaise with program and operations teams to ensure accurate financial documentation for each project.
Assist in annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning exercises.
Provide financial insights for decision-making and project sustainability.
Supervise and guide staff related to accounting practices and documentation standards.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance; CA (Inter) or MBA (Finance) preferred.
Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in the NGO sector.
Proficiency in Tally ERP, MS Excel, and preparation of financial reports.
Strong knowledge of FCRA, TDS, GST, and other statutory compliances.
Experience in project accounting for education or disability-focused NGOs is an added advantage.
