Job Description

As a Finance Analyst at Sage, you will play a critical role at managing the entire O2C cycle. You will be ensuring timely and accurate billings in QuickBooks. Additionally, you will be collaborating between cross functional teams - Sales, Finance, Customer Success to resolve any dispute or queries.




Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CA Inter / CPA preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in O2C, AR, or related roles, preferably for US-based clients.
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online and Stripe is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of US Sales Tax rules, nexus determination, and tax application on invoices.
- Proficiency in Excel for reporting and reconciliations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with US clients.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities:
- Manage the entire O2C cycle, including order validation, invoicing, payment application, and collections for US-based customers.
- Ensure accurate and timely billing in QuickBooks, including subscription-based or milestone-based invoicing.
- Reconcile payments through Stripe and other payment gateways; investigate discrepancies.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and drive timely collections to maintain healthy cash flow.
- Handle US Sales Tax compliance, including verifying correct tax application on invoices and coordinating with tax advisors for filings.
- Prepare and review monthly AR reports, cash forecasts, and DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) metrics.
- Work closely with Sales, Finance, and Customer Success teams to resolve billing disputes or customer queries.
- Implement process improvements for efficiency and compliance with internal controls.
- Support audit requirements by maintaining proper documentation for invoices, receipts, and tax records.
