The Hospital Accounts & Finance Head is responsible for overseeing all accounting, financial management, compliance, and financial control functions of the hospital. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, effective revenue management, and financial sustainability of hospital operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts & Financial Control
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including GL, AP, AR, fixed assets, and inventory accounting.
Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Maintain strong internal controls and financial policies.
Ensure proper documentation and audit trails for all financial transactions.
Budgeting & Financial Planning
Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
Monitor budget performance and conduct variance analysis.
Support management with financial analysis and cost-control initiatives.
Statutory Compliance & Audit
Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements (Income Tax, GST, TDS, PF, ESI, Professional Tax, etc.).
Coordinate and manage internal, statutory, and tax audits.
Liaise with auditors, banks, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
Revenue Cycle & Billing Oversight
Supervise hospital billing, collections, insurance, TPA, and credit control processes.
Monitor receivables, aging reports, and recovery efficiency.
Ensure accurate revenue recognition and control over discounts and write-offs.
Team Leadership & Coordination
Lead and manage the accounts and finance team.
Set KPIs, conduct performance reviews, and ensure team capability development.
Coordinate with clinical, administrative, and support departments for smooth financial operations.
Qualifications & Skills:
CA / CMA / MBA (Finance) or equivalent professional qualification.
Strong knowledge of hospital accounting, taxation, and healthcare finance operations.
Experience with hospital information systems (HIS) and accounting software.
Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.

Experience with NABH / healthcare accreditation standards
