Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and creative

Film Editor

to join our post-production team. The Film Editor will be responsible for assembling recorded footage into a polished final product that aligns with the director's vision. This includes selecting shots, cutting scenes, adding transitions, sound, and visual effects to ensure a cohesive and compelling narrative.

Key Responsibilities:

Editing & Assembly:

Review raw footage and select the best shots based on quality and narrative flow. Cut, trim, and sequence scenes to create a smooth, coherent story. Integrate audio, music, dialogue, and sound effects.

Creative Collaboration:

Work closely with the director, cinematographer, and sound team to understand the story and creative goals. Provide input on pacing, transitions, and emotional impact.

Post-Production Workflow:

Manage timelines and edit schedules to meet deadlines. Ensure all edits are technically sound and ready for color grading, VFX, and final mix. Maintain organized project files and backups.

Technical Duties:

Use editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Avid Media Composer. Apply basic visual effects, motion graphics, and color correction when necessary.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a film editor or in a similar post-production role. Strong portfolio/reel showcasing previous editing work. Excellent understanding of storytelling, pacing, and cinematic techniques. Proficiency in video editing software and post-production tools. Attention to detail and a keen sense for visual aesthetics and rhythm.

Preferred Skills:

Familiarity with color grading and visual effects. Knowledge of sound editing and mixing. Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage feedback loops. Good communication and teamwork skills.
