The F&P Engineer is responsible for the successful execution of Filling and Packing equipment installation, commissioning, and vertical startup, ensuring alignment with project scope, cost, timeline, and safety standards. The role involves collaboration with multiple stakeholders to ensure equipment performance, food safety compliance, and sustainable operations in a hygienic environment.
Drive vertical startup by coordinating with stakeholders across different project phases.
Prepare, monitor, and control project timelines to ensure on-time delivery.
Ensure that all processes align with the agreed scope and document any changes with approvals.
Participate in all phases of the project lifecycle, from feasibility to commissioning and handover.
2. Safety, Health & Environment (SHE)
Ensure all Safety, Environment, and Sustainability performance KPIs are achieved.
Promote and implement hygienic engineering principles to maintain operability, maintainability, and accessibility.
3. Filling & Packing Equipment Expertise
Apply deep technical knowledge of high-speed filling, packing, and wrapping equipment.
Ensure machines and lines meet URS standards, quality, safety, and integration requirements.
Lead feedback sessions with OEMs during design reviews and equipment validations (FAT/SAT).
4. Training & Documentation
Prepare maintenance-related documents: maintenance plans, gasket mapping, lubrication schedules, etc.
Train operators and maintenance teams to build competency and ensure smooth operations.
Support knowledge transfer and assist junior engineers during commissioning and troubleshooting.
5. Technical Compliance & Standards
Ensure compliance with relevant standards, including packaging quality, line integration, and food safety.
Support environmental-friendly and sustainable engineering solutions throughout the project.
Contribute to engineering documentation, including final project reports and preventive maintenance systems.
Technical / Functional Skills Required:
Expertise in Filling & Packing operations and equipment.
Sound knowledge of flow wrapping machines, end-of-line automation (case packing, palletization).
Understanding of food plant hygiene, regulatory standards, and hygienic engineering.
Familiarity with TPM/AMM methodologies and safety systems.
Working knowledge of project management tools and software (MS Project, Excel, AutoCAD, Visio, etc.).
Basic Requirements:
Strong commitment to workplace safety and effective HSE communication.
Ability to align engineering design with long-term business ROIC goals.
Experience with cost-effective, flexible, and efficient plant design strategies.
Capability to support smooth equipment transfer to operations post-installation.
