Territory Sales Executive cum Manager (Crop & Vegetable Seeds)Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven
Territory Sales Executive cum Manager
to lead and grow sales for our
crop seeds and vegetable seeds
portfolio. The ideal candidate will be responsible for achieving sales targets, expanding market presence, building strong relationships with distributors, dealers, and farmers, and providing agronomic support to customers within the assigned territory.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Development
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for crop and vegetable seeds.
Identify new business opportunities, potential markets, and key demand clusters.
Conduct field visits to farmers, dealers, and distributors to generate leads and close sales.
Promote new seed varieties and conduct demonstrations and field trials.
Dealer & Distributor Management
Appoint, train, and manage distributors and dealers within the assigned territory.
Ensure timely order placement and maintain healthy stock flow at channel partner points.
Monitor distributor performance, credit limits, and maintain strong relationships.
Market Research & Analysis
Track competitor activities, pricing, new product launches, and field performance.
Collect market intelligence and provide feedback for product development.
Analyze territory performance and prepare weekly and monthly reports.
Farmer Engagement
Organize farmer meetings, field days, crop demonstrations, and awareness programs.
Provide agronomic support, cultivation guidelines, and product recommendations.
Build strong rapport with progressive farmers and influencers.
Marketing & Promotion
Execute on-ground marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
Coordinate with marketing teams for branding materials, events, and campaigns.
Operational & Managerial Duties
Manage a team of field representatives (if applicable).
Oversee territory planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
Ensure compliance with company policies and maintain documentation.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in
Agriculture
,
Agri-Business
,
Horticulture
, or related fields (preferred).
2-6 years of experience in
seed sales
, agro-inputs, or agri-marketing.
Strong knowledge of crop cultivation, seed varieties, and regional agronomy.
Proven track record of target achievement and territory management.
Skills & Competencies
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and travel extensively within the territory.
Proficiency in MS Office, reporting tools, and digital communication apps.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ?20,000.00 - ?30,000.00 per month
