1. Job Summary

The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for providing onsite installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair services for company equipment/machinery. The role requires strong technical knowledge, customer handling skills, and the ability to resolve issues efficiently to ensure customer satisfaction.

2. Key Responsibilities

Perform onsite

installation, commissioning, and testing

of equipment/machinery. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical/electrical issues. Conduct periodic

preventive maintenance

as per schedule. Provide technical support and training to customers regarding equipment operation. Document service activities, prepare service reports, and submit them on time. Coordinate with the internal technical team for escalations or major repairs. Ensure adherence to safety standards and company service protocols. Maintain spare parts, tools, and service equipment in good condition. Support remote troubleshooting when required. Build positive relationships with customers through effective communication.

3. Required Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Ability to read and understand technical drawings, schematics, and manuals. Good understanding of PLCs, sensors, motors, and control systems (if applicable). Excellent problem-solving skills and technical aptitude. Good communication and customer-handling skills. Ability to work independently and travel frequently for site visits. Time management, documentation, and reporting skills.

4. Educational Qualification

Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics Engineering.

5. Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Frequent travel to customer locations. Ability to work in industrial environments (factory floors, machinery areas). May require lifting equipment and standing for long hours.

6. Additional Requirements (Optional)

Experience in installation or service of similar industry machinery/equipment. Valid two-wheeler or four-wheeler driving license. Willingness to work extended hours during critical service calls.
