The LCMSD Field Service Engineer is responsible for delivering world-class on-site support to Agilent customers by performing installation, implementation, maintenance, and repair of LC/MS and related systems. The role ensures optimal instrument performance, drives customer satisfaction, and contributes to continuous improvement in service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform
installation, configuration, and optimization
of Agilent LC/MS systems and related software/network solutions at customer sites.
Provide
preventive and corrective maintenance
to ensure instruments operate within specifications and customer expectations.
Diagnose and resolve
complex hardware, software, and application performance issues on LC/MSD instruments.
Deliver application support
and advise customers on proper system configuration, usage, and preventive care to enhance uptime and performance.
Collaborate cross-functionally
with Sales, Marketing, Technical Support, and technical team to ensure seamless customer experience and timely resolution of escalations.
Act as a
technical resource
for the field team--providing mentorship, training, and guidance on LCMS technology and service practices.
Conduct
internal and external technical training sessions
or seminars for engineers and customers as required.
Maintain
accurate service records
, documentation, and reporting in compliance with Agilent's service processes.
Proactively identify potential equipment or software issues to
prevent unplanned interruptions
to customer operations.
Support the
qualification and calibration
of instruments for large-scale customer sites and regulated environments.
Participate in
Agilent-approved credentialing and compliance processes
required to access and service customer facilities.
Qualifications
------------------
Bachelor's or Master's degree in
Electronics, Instrumentation, Analytical Chemistry, Biotechnology, or related field.
6+ years of experience working on
LC/MS system
; exposure to regulated (pharma/biopharma/Method development, troubleshooting) environments preferred.
Strong understanding of
chromatography and mass spectrometry principles
and associated software tools.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a
customer-first mindset.
Ability to manage multiple service calls independently and work effectively in field conditions.
Good interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers.
Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned region.
