The role is responsible for
supporting customers on-site
through installation, implementation, optimization, maintenance, and repair of Agilent and multi-vendor systems. The engineer will act as a trusted technical expert, ensuring maximum system performance and customer satisfaction while collaborating closely with internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
Install, implement, and optimize
hardware, software, networking, and configuration
for GCMSD systems at customer sites.
Provide
diagnosis, troubleshooting, and resolution
of product performance issues.
Deliver
maintenance, calibration, and repair services
, ensuring system reliability and uptime.
Advise customers on
preventive maintenance, configurations, and best practices
to enhance system performance.
Proactively identify and resolve potential equipment or software issues to minimize unplanned downtime.
Deliver integrated solutions including
peripherals, communications, operating systems, and application software
(delivery only, not design).
Serve as an
internal escalation point
for technical issues and collaborate with global
Support, Sales, Marketing, and R&D
teams.
Provide
technical training, workshops, and knowledge-sharing
sessions for customers and internal field engineers.
May conduct
on-site calibration
for large-volume customers.
Maintain compliance with
customer/vendor credentialing requirements
, including certifications, health, and safety regulations.
Preferred Competencies
Deep understanding of
gas chromatography, mass spectrometry, and analytical workflows
.
Familiarity with
third-party products and laboratory software solutions
.
Experience managing
customer escalations
and delivering technical excellence in high-pressure situations.
Strong collaboration skills to work cross-functionally with
global Agilent teams

Qualifications

Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree
in Chemistry, Analytical Sciences, or a related technical field (preferred).
Minimum
6 years of hands-on experience
in GCMSD systems, gas-phase instrumentation, or equivalent industries/laboratories.
Strong technical expertise in
installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance
of scientific instrumentation.
Proven ability to manage
multi-vendor systems
and complex product integrations.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
Ability to
train, mentor, and support
customers and colleagues on system operations.
Willingness to travel frequently for on-site customer engagements.
Compliance with customer credentialing and health/safety standards.

This job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely.
