Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced

High Voltage Isolator Service Engineer

to join our team in Vadodara. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of high-voltage isolators and disconnectors in substations and industrial facilities across India. This role requires extensive travel, a strong commitment to safety, and a deep technical understanding of HV equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Installation & Commissioning:

Supervise and execute the mechanical and electrical installation of HV isolators (66kV, 132kV, 220kV, and 400kV) at customer sites. Perform pre-commissioning checks, testing, and final commissioning as per design and safety standards.

Maintenance & Servicing:

Conduct scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance on installed isolators. This includes inspecting contact systems, operating mechanisms, insulators, and control cabinets.

Troubleshooting & Repairs:

Diagnose and resolve technical issues and breakdowns of isolators, including mechanical, electrical, and control system faults. Identify root causes and implement effective, long-term solutions.

Documentation & Reporting:

Prepare detailed service reports, maintenance logs, and commissioning reports. Maintain accurate records of all on-site activities and parts used.

Safety & Compliance:

Strictly adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), during all site work. Ensure all activities comply with national and international standards (e.g., IEC, IS).

Customer Interaction:

Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers, providing guidance and support. Conduct on-site training for customer's maintenance teams.
Required Qualifications & Skills

Education:

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.

Experience:

Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in the service, maintenance, or commissioning of high-voltage switchgear, specifically isolators and disconnectors.

Technical Knowledge:

Thorough understanding of HV substation equipment, including circuit breakers, CTs, PTs, and protection relays. Proven experience with

Centre break,

double break and pantograph isolators.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.

Travel:

Willingness to travel extensively to customer sites across India, often on short notice

Based Location:

Based in Vadodara, Gujarat.

Pay: ?25,000.00 - ?60,000.00 per month
