The Sales Officer will be responsible for executing sales plans, driving secondary sales, and ensuring effective retail coverage across the Trivandrum region. The role involves distributor coordination, retailer engagement, and on-ground execution to strengthen market presence.
Prior FMCG experience is mandatory, with tea category exposure being an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Achieve assigned sales targets (primary and secondary) for the territory.
Ensure effective beat planning and complete daily market coverage.
Manage relationships with distributors, retailers, and key trade partners.
Execute trade schemes, promotions, and visibility initiatives at retail outlets.
Ensure adequate product availability, correct pricing, and planogram adherence.
Collect market intelligence on competitor activity, pricing, and consumer trends.
Track outlet-wise sales, ensure timely order collection, and reduce stock-related issues.
Coordinate with distributors for timely billing, deliveries, and collections.
Submit daily sales reports, market feedback, and expense statements to ASM.
Support new product launches and activation programs in the territory.
Key Requirements
Minimum
1-3 years of experience in FMCG sales
(mandatory).
Tea category experience preferred

Strong understanding of retail and distributor-based sales operations.
Good communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Willingness to travel extensively within the Trivandrum region.
Basic proficiency in MS Excel and sales reporting formats.
