Solar Energy Company - Chennai

Role Overview:

As a Solar Consultant, you will be responsible for driving sales, building long-term customer relationships, and enabling the adoption of solar energy by households. The role demands strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills to ensure seamless execution and customer satisfaction.

Designation: Solar Consultant Business Vertical: Residential

Experience: 1 - 3 years

Job Type: Individual Contributor

Base Location: Chennai

Education: Any Graduate/Post Graduate

Primary Responsibilities:

Build business by organizing sales visits for existing leads, identifying and selling prospects, and maintaining client relationships.

Identify new business opportunities, channels, and channel partners.

Establish contact with prospects, develop relationships, and upsell solutions. Provide client support, guidance, and recommend profit/service improvements.

Manage the end-to-end sales process using CRM/software tools.

Cross-Functional Responsibilities:

Enable and support on-ground marketing events.

Build and maintain a CRM database.

Actively participate in sales team meetings.

Key Competencies

Customer-focused with a positive attitude and ability to perform in fast-paced, high-pressure environments. Strong communication (verbal & written), presentation, and interpersonal skills. Proven sales, negotiation, and customer service abilities. Problem-solving mindset with adaptability and stakeholder management skills. Preferably with geographical knowledge and/or academic background in science. Travel Requirements Willingness to travel as required. Flexibility to stretch based on business needs.
