Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented
Field Sales Executive
to spearhead the promotion and sales of
SOLIDWORKS Desktop
solutions. This role is ideal for a high-performing professional who is passionate about digital engineering and enabling customers to modernize their design workflows. You will be responsible for end-to-end sales activities, from lead generation to closure, acting as a consultative advisor to clients in the SMB and mid-market segments.
Key Responsibilities
Sales and Business Development
Identify and target potential customers through cold calling, referrals, events, and inbound leads.
Understand customer pain points, industry trends, and decision-making processes to tailor sales strategies.
Manage the complete sales cycle including discovery, product demonstration, proposal creation, pricing negotiation, and contract finalization.
Product Presentation & Solution Consulting
Deliver high-impact product demonstrations of SOLIDWORKS Desktop to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Translate customer requirements into compelling business value propositions using SOLIDWORKS' capabilities.
Stay updated on latest features, industry use cases, and competitive advantages of SOLIDWORKS tools.
Customer Relationship Management
Build and nurture long-term relationships with key stakeholders, engineers, and decision-makers.
Maintain timely and accurate records of all sales activities in CRM tools.
Conduct post-sales follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction and identify opportunities for upsell, cross-sell, or renewals.
Collaboration & Reporting
Work closely with technical teams and channel partners to ensure smooth customer onboarding and product deployment.
Report regularly on sales pipeline, forecasts, and performance metrics to the regional sales manager.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
3-5 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in CAD software, PLM, or engineering solutions.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a competitive environment.
Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts in a clear, value-driven manner.
Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of managing multiple accounts simultaneously.
Proficiency in using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and MS Office tools.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience selling to manufacturing, engineering, or design sectors.
Familiarity with SOLIDWORKS or other 3D CAD software platforms.
Technical aptitude and willingness to undergo product training and certification.
