2. Role Purpose
The Field Sales Executive is responsible for generating retail sales of Ashok Leyland Light Commercial Vehicles within the assigned territories.
The role requires daily field activities, identifying business prospects, managing the complete sales cycle, coordinating with internal departments, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
The executive represents Ajmera Motors in the market and acts as a key contributor to the dealership's growth and brand image.
3. Key Responsibilities (SOP Format)
A. Lead Generation & Market Coverage
Objective:
To continuously source potential buyers and expand business reach in the designated market.
Standard Procedures:
1. Conduct daily field visits to:
Industrial estates
Warehouses
Transport hubs
Construction sites
Business clusters
2. Minimum 25-30 customer interactions per day (in-person + telephonic).
3. Generate a minimum of 10 new leads per day.
4. Capture complete customer details in Lead Tracker/CRM:

5. Submit daily lead report to the Sales Manager before EOD.
6. Maintain strong presence in local transport and fleet communities to increase brand visibility.
B. Product Presentation & Demonstration
Objective:
To educate customers about Ashok Leyland LCVs and build trust.
Standard Procedures:
1. Study all model specifications, payload capacities, mileage, body options, EMI schemes, and market advantages.
2. Present product features clearly with comparison against competition.
3. Conduct on-site demos or arrange demos at Ajmera Motors.
4. Ensure safe and professional handling during test drives.
5. Submit customer feedback weekly to Sales Manager.
C. Sales Cycle Management
Objective:
To execute the sales process systematically and ensure smooth customer onboarding.
Standard Procedures:
1. Prospecting: Identify requirement, intended use, and budget.
2. Quotation:
Issue quotations in Ajmera Motors approved template.
Ensure accuracy in price, schemes, and discounts.
3. Finance Support:
Collect complete KYC, income documents, and profile.
Coordinate with finance team & NBFCs for loan login and approval.
4. Booking:
Fill booking form completely.
Collect booking amount.
Confirm vehicle allocation through Sales Manager.
5. Pre-Delivery Coordination:
Liaise with Accounts for payments.
Coordinate with Delivery Team for vehicle readiness.
Assist customer with registration, insurance, and DO.
6. Delivery Process:
Ensure proper delivery ceremony.
Provide vehicle operating guidance.
7. Post-Delivery:
Conduct mandatory follow-ups: 3 days ? 7 days ? 30 days.
Ensure customer is connected with Service department for first free service.
D. Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
Objective:
To ensure long-term repeat business and build loyalty.
Standard Procedures:
1. Maintain regular follow-ups with all leads (hot, warm, cold).
2. Build relations with:
Fleet owners
Transport associations
Industrial buyers
Market committees
3. Provide support in queries related to service, AMC, insurance renewal.
4. Escalate unresolved issues to Sales Manager immediately.
5. Maintain a Customer Contact Book for long-term retention.
E. Documentation & Reporting
Objective:
To ensure transparent and accurate record keeping.
Standard Procedures:
1. Submit Daily Activity Report (DAR) by 7:30 PM containing:
Field visits
Leads generated
Follow-ups
Hot cases
2. Maintain weekly sales pipeline covering:
Expected closures
Follow-up status
Documentation pending
3. Update CRM daily without fail.
4. Keep all documents organized:
Quotations
Booking forms
KYC papers
Finance login documents
Delivery checklist
5. Protect confidentiality of customer and dealership data.
F. Market Intelligence
Objective:
To maintain awareness of competitor strategies and market movements.
Standard Procedures:
1. Collect competitor information weekly such as:
New model launches
Temporary schemes or exchange offers
Price updates
2. Visit competitor dealerships where necessary.
3. Share monthly competitor report with the Sales Manager.
4. Maintain Market Intelligence Register.
4. Required Skills & Qualifications
Minimum HSC (Graduate preferred).
Experience: 1-5 years in Automobile/LCV Sales (Freshers may also apply).
Good communication in Hindi & Marathi.
Ability to work in field-based, target-driven environments.
Strong local area knowledge of Mumbai, Thane & Navi Mumbai routes.
Basic computer proficiency (Excel, Email, WhatsApp).
Two-wheeler with valid licence preferred.

Monthly CTC: ?20,000 - ?35,000
