volume growth, visibility, and market penetration
in retail and project segments.
Key Responsibilities1. Sales & Revenue Generation
Achieve
monthly and annual sales targets
(value and volume) for decorative / industrial / protective paints.
Drive
primary sales
through distributors and
secondary sales
through retailers.
Execute territory-wise sales plans to increase
market share and brand presence
.
Identify new sales opportunities in residential, commercial, and project segments.
2. Dealer & Distributor Management
Appoint and onboard new
dealers and sub-dealers
as per company norms.
Maintain strong working relationships with
existing dealers and distributors
.
Ensure optimal
stock availability
, product mix, and credit discipline.
Resolve dealer grievances related to supply, schemes, or service issues.
3. Market Development & Coverage
Conduct
daily market visits
as per beat plan.
Ensure effective
retailer coverage, visibility, and branding execution
.
Monitor competitor activities (pricing, schemes, launches, discounts).
Share market intelligence and feedback with the sales manager.
4. Painter / Contractor Engagement
Build strong relationships with
painters, contractors, and applicators
.
Conduct
product demonstrations, shade cards, and technical awareness sessions
.
Implement painter loyalty programs and incentive schemes.
Support site visits and product trials at project locations.
5. Promotion & Scheme Execution
Implement
trade schemes, consumer offers, and promotional campaigns
.
Ensure proper use and placement of
POS materials
(boards, danglers, shade cards).
Support product launches and local marketing activities.
Track scheme effectiveness and report outcomes.
6. Reporting & Administration
Submit
daily sales reports (DSR)
and market visit reports.
Maintain accurate records of sales, collections, and outstanding balances.
Coordinate with supply chain and customer service teams.
Follow company policies, compliance norms, and ethical sales practices.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in
Business, Marketing, or any relevant field
MBA / PGDM in Sales & Marketing (preferred, not mandatory)
Experience
1 year
of minimum field sales experience
Prior experience in
paints, construction materials, cement, tiles, adhesives, or building products
preferred
Skills & Competencies
Strong
communication and negotiation skills
Ability to work independently in the field
Basic understanding of
paint products, applications, and surfaces
Market mapping and territory planning
Relationship-building with dealers and influencers
Comfortable using mobile apps for reporting
Result-oriented and self-driven
Other Requirements
Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory
Two-wheeler with valid driving license
Basic proficiency in local language(s) and English/Hindi
