FMCG Field Sales Executive - Dry Fruits & Nuts Division
Job Summary
The FMCG Field Sales Executive will be responsible for expanding market penetration of Absolute Nuts' product line (nuts, dry fruits, makhana) by visiting retail outlets, wholesalers, and distributors; building relationships; ensuring product visibility; managing orders; and achieving defined sales targets in an assigned territory (for example, Delhi & surrounding areas).
Key Responsibilities
Visit retail stores, general-trade shops, supermarkets, wholesalers, and distributors regularly to promote Absolute Nuts products.
Ensure that products are properly displayed, visible, and the stock levels are maintained (shelf-stocking, merchandising).
Identify and onboard new retailers, wholesalers, or distributors to expand the distribution network for dry fruits & nuts.
Take orders from retailers/wholesalers/distributors, coordinate with logistics or supply teams for delivery, and ensure timely supply.
Ensure timely collection of payments or follow-up on pending bills (if applicable).
Achieve monthly/quarterly/annual sales targets as assigned by management.
Maintain and update records: daily/weekly visit reports, order summaries, sales data, stock status, retailer/distributor feedback.
Monitor market -- observe competitor products, pricing, promotions, demand patterns; report market intelligence and feedback to management.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients (retailers, wholesalers, distributors) to ensure repeat orders and long-term business.
Assist in planning and executing trade promotions, discounts, or special offers (if company runs promotions).
Help implement merchandising/visibility standards and ensure compliance with company guidelines (product placement, shelf arrangement, promotions).
Required Skills & Qualifications
10th / 12th pass or higher (some companies prefer 12th or graduate) -- depends on company policy. Many FMCG field-sales jobs in India accept 12th pass. Apna+2Apna+2
Preferably 1-3 years of experience in FMCG / dry-fruits / food-products field sales or retail distribution. Freshers may also apply if motivated (depending on company).
Good communication and interpersonal skills (comfortable interacting with retailers, wholesalers, distributors).
Negotiation skills -- ability to close sales, discuss orders, payments, and deals.
Basic literacy in record-keeping: daily/weekly reporting, order logging, using smartphone/Excel/any CRM (or simple sales log).
Self-motivated, target-driven attitude, ability to work independently.
Willingness to travel frequently within assigned territory (local shops, markets across areas in/around Delhi).
Having a two-wheeler (bike/scooter) and valid driving license is often preferred in field-sales roles for ease of travel. Many FMCG field-sales roles in India expect this.
