- Field Sales Executive (FSM)

Industry: Frozen Seafood Import & Distribution

Location: Chennai

Role Overview

The FSM will be responsible for driving sales, managing distributor/wholesaler networks, and expanding market presence for our range of imported frozen seafood products. The role involves achieving sales targets, developing trade strategies, ensuring product availability, and building strong customer relationships across the assigned region.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve volume, revenue, and profit targets.

Manage and grow business with distributors, wholesalers, HORECA (Hotels, Restaurants, Catering), and modern trade outlets.

Ensure proper market coverage, visibility, and availability of frozen seafood products.

Identify and develop new business opportunities within assigned territories.

Track competitor activities, pricing, and market trends to recommend corrective actions.

Coordinate with supply chain and operations teams to ensure timely order fulfillment and cold chain compliance.

Monitor distributor performance (sales, stocks, credit, collections) and provide guidance for improvement.

Conduct sales promotions, sampling activities, and chef/retailer engagement programs.

Train and lead the sales team/executives under the region, ensuring productivity and capability building.

Prepare periodic reports, sales forecasts, and budget planning for management review.

Qualifications & Skills

Graduate (specialization in Sales/Marketing).

3-6 years of sales experience in frozen foods, seafoods, FMCG, or cold-chain products.

Strong knowledge of distribution networks, HORECA segment, and modern trade operations.

Proven track record of achieving sales targets and building long-term trade relations.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.

Ability to analyze sales data, prepare reports, and implement actionable strategies.

Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.
