A Microfinance (MF) Field Officer plays a crucial role in facilitating financial services for underserved communities. Their responsibilities typically include:
- Field Officer (Microfinance)
Key Responsibilities:
1. Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:
Identify and enroll potential clients for microfinance services.
Conduct field visits to assess borrower needs and financial stability.
Build strong relationships with customers to ensure long-term engagement.
2. Loan Processing & Disbursement:
Educate clients on loan products, repayment terms, and financial discipline.
Collect necessary documents and verify borrower eligibility.
Assist in loan approval and ensure timely disbursement.
3. Repayment Monitoring & Collection:
Regularly follow up with borrowers for repayments and prevent defaults.
Conduct group meetings (if applicable) to reinforce financial literacy.
Address repayment challenges and recommend solutions
4. Risk Management & Compliance:
Conduct background checks to minimize risks.
Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines.
Report any fraudulent activities or policy violations.
5. Reporting & Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of clients, loans, and repayments.
Prepare periodic reports on portfolio performance and field activities.
Provide feedback to management on field challenges and opportunities.
Skills & Qualifications:
Education: Minimum HSC/Graduate in any field (Commerce, Finance, or related fields preferred).
Experience: 1-3 years of experience in banking / Society / NBFC / Nidhi/ any other Finance Companies.
Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Good knowledge of local geography and community behavior.
Basic financial literacy and documentation skills.
Ability to ride a two-wheeler
Work Environment:
Extensive travel within assigned areas.
Interaction with clients, communities, and branch offices.
Flexible working hours based on field requirements.
