Key Responsibilities
Prepare monthly monitoring plans by checking the monitoring schedule as per the monthly and weekly requirements.
Discuss the monthly plan with the Monitoring Head 2-3 working days before the month ends.
Prepare the next working day's task list for monitoring preparation by 5:30 PM daily.
Update the daily monitoring and sample collection task status on the designated WhatsApp group.
Ensure all samples mentioned in the field summary sheet are collected by the respective monitoring site and inform the Monitoring Head immediately in case of discrepancies.
Report the daily action plan for self and the entire team to the manager.
Submit monitoring expense proofs and a filled expense sheet to the Lab Admin after approval from the Monitoring Head (weekly by Saturday).
Submit detailed filled TRFs and Field Data Sheets to the Monitoring Head and then to the Sample Inward Department as per plan.
Ensure proper labelling of samples before submitting them to the Sample Inward Department.
Manage team leave schedules to avoid disruptions to the monthly plan.
Track Purchase Orders (POs), maintain the PO file, and ensure validity before starting monitoring tasks.
Submit team expense proofs weekly to the Lab Admin.
Deliver hard copies of invoices and reports to clients, collect acknowledged copies, and submit them to the CSE department.
Follow up with clients for payments when required.
Train the field monitoring team on instruments, sampling procedures, monitoring procedures, and documentation.
Ensure instruments are maintained and repaired as needed.
Arrange for instrument calibration within due dates, including obtaining quotations and approvals.
Maintain and arrange repairs for vehicles as required.
Fill and submit all TRFs and Field Data Sheets to the CSE department for inwarding.
Follow safety protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs) as defined by Tata Motors while working on-site.
Perform any other work allocated by the respective manager.
Qualifications and Skills
Graduate/Diploma in Science or relevant field (Environmental Science preferred).
Knowledge of sampling and monitoring procedures.
Basic computer skills (MS Office, WhatsApp for reporting).
Ability to handle instruments and equipment maintenance.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Willingness to travel to field sites.
