We are looking for a dedicated Field Officer with a background in B.Sc. Agriculture (preferred) to work closely with farmers in rural areas. The role involves forming Self-Help Groups (SHGs), educating farmers on scientific goat farming techniques, and conducting field surveys to improve livestock productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
Visit rural areas to identify and organize farmers into Self-Help Groups (SHGs).
Provide training and guidance on scientific goat rearing, sustainable feed management, disease prevention, and best farming practices.
Conduct field surveys to assess farmer needs, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
Act as a liaison between farmers and the company, ensuring smooth communication and trust-building.
Work closely with local veterinary professionals and government agencies to support farmers with necessary services.
Assist in implementing company programs related to livestock insurance, buyback schemes, and fodder seed support.
Maintain records and submit regular reports on farmer engagement and project progress.
Qualifications & Skills:
B.Sc. in Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, or related field (preferred).
1-3 years of experience in rural fieldwork, SHG formation, or livestock extension services.
Strong understanding of goat farming practices, feed management, and animal health care.
Experience in direct farmer interaction, field surveys, and data collection.
Good communication skills in local languages.
Ability to travel frequently and work in rural environments.
Passion for improving farmer livelihoods and rural development.
