To oversee the efficient operation, maintenance, and cleanliness of organizational facilities. This includes managing building systems, safety protocols, housekeeping teams, and service vendors to ensure a safe, clean, and functional work environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesFacility Management:
Oversee daily facility operations including maintenance, repairs, utilities, and equipment functioning.
Conduct routine inspections of the premises to identify and resolve issues.
Coordinate with vendors and contractors for preventive and corrective maintenance.
Monitor and ensure adherence to safety, health, and environmental regulations.
Maintain facility documentation, compliance records, and maintenance logs.
Support office moves, renovations, or refurbishments.
Housekeeping Management:
Arrange, assign, and supervise housekeeping staff across all shifts.
Prepare cleaning schedules and ensure timely execution of tasks.
Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and coordinate procurement as needed.
Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and hygiene across all areas including restrooms, common spaces, and workstations.
Conduct quality checks and provide regular feedback to housekeeping staff.
Train new housekeeping personnel and ensure they follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Handle complaints or requests related to cleanliness and take corrective actions.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Facility Management, Hotel Management, Business Administration, or related field.
2-5 years of experience in facility or operations management, preferably with housekeeping oversight.
Knowledge of housekeeping standards and cleaning practices.
Experience in managing vendor contracts and facility compliance matters.
Assess facility staffing needs (housekeeping, maintenance, security, front office, etc.) based on facility size, shift requirements, and workload.
Coordinate recruitment of support staff either directly or through staffing agencies.
Plan and schedule duty rosters and ensure adequate manpower coverage across all shifts.
Maintain attendance, leave records, and monitor performance of outsourced and in-house staff.
Arrange temporary or replacement staff during absenteeism or special events.
Train and orient new support staff on job responsibilities, SOPs, safety, and hygiene protocols.
Conduct periodic reviews to optimize manpower utilization and reduce idle time or redundancy.
Ensure all workers wear appropriate uniforms, carry ID cards, and maintain decorum on site.
Liaise with HR/Admin for onboarding formalities, documentation, and compliance.
Monitor labor law compliance (PF/ESI, minimum wages, working hours) for third-party manpower agencies.
